Wine and Jazz Walk!

Cal Phil makes music fun.  On Sunday, April 13th, you can hear great music and help your community by enjoying fine wine, tempting hors d’ouvres and the best in live jazz at a brand new Old Pasadena tradition—the Annual Old Pasadena Wine and Jazz Walk.  Tickets for the event are $40 per person, with proceeds from this event benefitting two of Pasadena’s most cherished non-profits: California Philharmonic and Five Acres. 

Participants in the Walk will be given passports to visit eight of Pasadena’s best food and drink establishments allowing them to enjoy the unique wines, food, music and ambiance at each stop.  The event begins at 4:00pm and lasts until 8:00pm. 

The Old Pasadena Wine and Jazz Walk promotes Pasadena as Los Angeles County’s premier destination for wine, food and Jazz, while at the same time raising funds for two of Pasadena’s philanthropic gems. The Walk will provide much needed support for Southern California’s finest orchestra and the area’s most fragile and invisible citizens. 

Cal Phil patrons have the opportunity to spend even more of their Sunday relishing friends, music, refreshments and fun by attending Hornstravaganza!, the third concert of the 2008 Cal Phil Music, Martinis and the Maestro chamber music series.  These fun and intimate concerts, held in the beautiful Romanesque Room of Old Pasadena’s historic Green Hotel, bring music lovers “up close and personal” with the musicians and Maestro Vener as they combine thrilling performances
of chamber music with the sophisticated atmosphere of a cocktail bar.  The event begins at 2:00 and is less than a block away from redwhite+bluezz, one of the stops on the Walk.

Cal Phil, directed by the charismatic Maestro Victor Vener, brings a diverse array of great music and exciting featured artists to thousands of music lovers in venues ranging from Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden, the Ambassador Auditorium to the Rose Bowl.

Five Acres is a Pasadena based charity that, since 1881, has been providing community services including residential care and education, mental health services in homes and schools, foster care and adoptions, and domestic violence prevention.  CEO Bob Ketch and his caring staff
provide essential services to our community and are often the last safety net for families.
